Adder demonstrates latest connectivity and control technologies for broadcast at BVE 2013 Adder Technology, the experts in connectivity solutions, will demonstrate their latest flexible infrastructure and command and control solutions for the broadcast industry at BVE, which runs 26-28 February at Excel London. Adder will be showing the latest updates to their award-winning AdderLink Infinity and AdderLink Infinity Dual digital media extenders, as well as the CCS4USB command and control switch alongside broadcast specialist Digi-Box.co.uk (Stand F12).

AdderLink Infinity and AdderLink Infinity Dual enable the creation of a flexible digital matrix, allowing a computer and its operator to be separated by almost any distance without any loss in capabilities. With these units broadcasters and production companies have the capability to run a uniquely scalable, unlimited matrix with DVI, USB, RS232 and audio available at any destination or desk.

The AdderLink Infinity Dual now features the new Magic Eye technology which provides compatibility with Apple Mac computers using a variety of graphics cards, making the Adder solution one of the few IP-based matrices to support the Apple OS. In addition, Adder will also reveal a new transmitter unit (ALIF2112T) with built-in VNC (virtual network computing) capability. The ALIF2112T allows users to have full control of their computers from anywhere in the world over an internet connection while maintaining real-time access through the local IP matrix.

It has the capability to run any size matrix with DVI, USB, RS232 and Audio on all ports, the only limitation is the user’s network and how the traffic architecture is configured. As a gigabit based matrix switch, the AdderLink Infinity range provides almost unlimited extension possibilities. This makes it an ideal solution for the broadcast industry, allowing any number of studios and control rooms to be connected, wherever they might be located. Designed with Apple in mind, the AdderLink Infinity Dual provides dual link DVI, allowing it to support very large screens such as the popular Apple Cinema Display, or dual monitor set-ups.

Also being demonstrated is the CCS4USB — a breakthrough in command and control switching. It delivers USB 2.0, audio, Free-Flow and ‘USB True Emulation’ technology, allowing the user to work across up to four computers and 32 screens through a single interface, vastly improving the ergonomics of a work desk.
