New PoE Splitters for Smarter and More Flexible KVM Deployments
We are excited to announce the release of new Power over Ethernet (PoE) splitters, designed to make powering non-PoE devices simpler, cleaner and more flexible – across ADDERView® Matrix systems and beyond.
PoE continues to transform how AV and IT infrastructures are designed, however many networks still comprise a mix of PoE enabled and non-PoE capable devices. Adder’s new splitters address this challenge by making it easier than ever to deliver both power and data over a single Ethernet cable – without compromising compatibility or performance.
The New PoE Splitters
Two new splitter options are now available:
- 1GbE Power over Ethernet Splitter 12W (PSU-POE-5VDC-2.4A) – for user stations
- 1GbE Power over Ethernet Splitter 24W (PSU-POE-12VDC-2A) – for computer access modules
These provide a simple, standard-compliant way to extend PoE benefits across your KVM installation.
The Benefits
- Fewer cables and cleaner layouts
- Greater freedom in device placement
- Lower installation costs
- Scalable, future-proof infrastructure
Product Compatibility
The new PoE splitters are compatible with a wide range of Adder products, including:
- ADDERView Matrix Switches
- Netgear switches supplied with ADDERView Matrix support PoE and PoE+, making them ideal for powering KVM devices directly or via PoE splitters.
- AVM-C12 Switch: 8x PoE+ ports
- AVM-C30 Switch: 24x PoE+ ports
- Remaining ports offer a mix of non-PoE and SFP connectivity for maximum flexibility.
- Netgear switches supplied with ADDERView Matrix support PoE and PoE+, making them ideal for powering KVM devices directly or via PoE splitters.
- ADDERLink® Portal R110 (DisplayPort)
- ADDERLink® Portal R110 (HDMI®)
- ADDERLink® ipeps mini - DP
- ADDERLink® ipeps mini - HDMI
- ADDERLink® INFINITY 100T VGA
- ADDERLink® INFINITY 101T DVI
- ADDERLink® INFINITY 102T DP

Power Requirements
Both 5V and 12V power requirements are supported, helping standardize deployments across mixed environments.
PoE operates under IEEE standards:
- IEEE 802.3af (PoE) – supports devices up to 12W
- IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) – supports devices up to 24W
Adder KVM products either support these standards directly or use certified accessories to ensure safe, reliable operation.
